Is Google Assistant coming to Chrome OS?

Google is going to remove the “OK Google” option from Chrome OS. The option, which many of you might have never used, allows you to activate vocal recognition to look things up.

 Why are they doing it? Is it possible that they’re making space for Google Assistant? There are rumors regarding a “Chromebook Eve” model with an Assistant key.

 After all, these speculations provide a good explanation to Google removing its voice search feature.
