Using a non-Gmail account on the Gmail App

If you’re one of the few people not to have a Google account, you’ll be happy to hear that the company is soon going to allow non-Gmail account to be used on the Gmail app. We’re talking to you Yahoo, Live and Outlook people.

Such a feature, which has been available for a while on Android phones, is soon coming to iPhone running on iOS 10 or later. You can even apply to join the beta version right now.

This initiative is part of Google’s efforts to collaborate with Apple, despite the obvious Android-iPhone competition, so to allow all of their clients to still use Google services such as its popular email provider.
